Onlymyhealth.com has come up with the first edition of Healthcare Heroes Awards 2020 on October 8, 2020 to honour the heroes of the frontline who are fighting the covid battle. The first edition of the awards will recognize new Indian heroes who are braving the global pandemic to help individuals, communities, and the healthcare industry with innovations and initiatives. Through this no-contact, virtual event onlymyhealth.com endeavors to celebrate and showcase the hard work and service of the many silent and resilient corona-warriors. The organization aims to highlight the positive stories and genuine work of these individuals during these tough times.
The expert jury – the knowledge council for the awards comprises of Prof Ramanan Laxminarayan, director Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy, Washington; Prof Priya Abraham, director of ICMR – National Institute of Virology; Dr. Naresh Trehan, chairman & managing director, Medanta, The Medcity; Dr. T S Kler, chairman, PSRI Heart Institute; Dr. K K Agarwal, cardiologist, physician, former president of the Indian Medical Association; Dr. Sandeep Nayar, hod & director, chest & respiratory diseases, Swati Bathwal, public health nutritionist, international sports dietician, diabetes educator; and Megha Mamgain, business head, health & lifestyle, Jagran New Media.
The nominees for the Healthcare Heroes Awards 2020 have gone through a rigorous nomination process. The participants were first selected on the basis of their nomination story through editorial selection. This was then followed by voting through the selected audience and expert jury. The final winners for the awards ceremony were selected on the basis of weightages by the jury and public online voting.
