Bobst India’s stand at the 15th Printpack India witnessed a steady stream of visitors. In the first two days, the company announced four deals. It sold a Novacut 106 E die-cutter to Jaipur-based Miracle Print. Bobst India also sold three Novafold 110 A2 folder gluers, one each to Hyderabad-based Hyper Pack, Ludhiana-based Bharat Box, and Sivakasi-based Focus Print.

“The start to the 15th Printpack has been exciting for us. We have closed multiple deals in the first two days and there are many hot leads which should translate into deals in the next couple of days. At this expo our attempt is to show our technologies to entrepreneurs wanting to venture into packaging,” said Venugopal Menon of Bobst India.

Accucheck with a larger scope of inspection

Bobst India demonstrated its latest Novacut 106E 3.0 die-cutter. (The third generation Novacut was launched in 2020.) On the folder gluer front, it showed the Expertfold, which is equipped with the newly launched second-generation Accucheck in-line inspection system. Menon said that Bobst was showing an inline inspection system on a folder gluer for the first time in India.

“The second generation of Accucheck offers a much larger scope of inspection. Earlier we were limited to food and pharma. Now it can process cosmetic cartons, metalized board, foil stamped boxes, and much more,” Menon explained.

Talking about the third generation of the Novacut die-cutter, Menon said that Bobst has brought many new features to the machine in terms of automation and the feeder, among others. “All these new features will help customers run the machine with minimal stoppages and much faster make-ready times. We have sold more than 40 units of the Novacut generation three. The unit on display on our booth is going to Miracle Print in Jaipur,” he added.

Day 3 – Meerut’s Agarwal Pack Products buys Bobst Novafold

After announcing multiple deals on the first two days of the 15th Printpack India, Bobst India announced another deal on the third day of the event. The company sold a Novafold 110 A2 folder gluer to Meerut-based Agarwal Pack Products.

“We have tried and tested a number of machines and there is nothing like a Bobst machine. Their after-sales service is also excellent. Also, we were able to buy a brand new machine because of easy financing by the banks,” said Vinay Agarwal of Agarwal Pack Products.

Agarwal Pack Products already uses a Bobst Novacut, which the company bought brand new a few years ago. It prints and converts a variety of cartons and boxes but its main area of specialization is sweet boxes. In the printing department it has five offset presses. Talking about the carton packaging industry, Agarwal said that it is on a growth path and the 2022-2023 financial year should be excellent.
