The Economic Times has reported that research enterprise CUTS International has said the global civil society should take the initiative in proposing a second edition of the Doha Declaration on WTO’s agreement on intellectual property and public health to deal with emergency health situations.
The WTO’s (World Trade Organisation) Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights or TRIPS Agreement came first came into execution in January 1995.
The TRIPS Agreement is a multilateral report on intellectual property rights like copyrights, industrial designs, patents and protection of secret information or trade secrets.
