West Pharmaceutical Services, a global provider of distinctive solutions for injectable drug management, has announced an investment in Dublin-based Latch Medical to enhance the service and delivery of medicines to patients.

West Pharma’s investment in Latch Medical has opened a potential path to advance its leadership in innovation and focus on the requirements of patients.

An official partner to several drug producers, West Pharma –  a prime provider of unique, high-quality injectable infusions and services – ensures the safe and effective confinement of drugs to its potential customers.

The company, which employs around 10,000 employees across 50 locations worldwide, provides swift delivery of life-saving medications to all patients in need.

With its announcement to invest in Latch Medical, West Pharma aims to increase its services to customers in a better way. The techniques in which medicines are delivered to patients’ doorstep keep evolving to make the medical treatment process easy.

The creative intradermal-delivery technology of Latch Medical is expected to enhance the service capacity of West Pharma.

Latch Medical’s technology has two delivery device platforms that permit intradermal delivery of vaccination and biologics with swift and uniform dosing.

The low-cost platform can enhance higher payloads than microneedle science which was designed years ago and demands minimum training for technicians to use.

Latch Medical’s technology can also replace conventional injections and show the potential of intradermal delivery.
